ACHIEVEMENT'S TO DATE:

Received funding for Phase Two of our project Luminaries, which draws inspiration from mycelium, a network of underground fungal threads acting as a communication system for mushrooms. NRDT will use the Chrystal Dance Prize – Projects funds to support travel, research, and performances at the The Music and Arts University of the City of Vienna (MUK), collaborating with Austrian choreographer Christina Medina, and with dancer Alia Saurini.

Received funding for Phase One for our project Luminaries. Creation will take place in Victora BC. For this phase, NRDT will collaborate with musician Finley Rose.

Presented a work-in-progress at Dance Days, Rough Cuts,  for national and international presenters.

Presented Body Poetry - a FREE outdoor show for the public located in Bastion Square, Victoria, BC. Over 100 members of the public joined for this event, and the company successfully fundraised over $500 to meet some expenses.   

* NRDT is committed to Truth and Reconciliation and donated a percentage of total proceeds to Victoria Native Friendship Centre.

Received a funded creation residency from Dance Victoria.

Received a technical residency from Impulse Theatre, and presented a work-in-progress showing at Metro Studio Theatre for the public.

Presented a short dance film study through Impulse Theatre's Peek Fest.

Received the CRD Incubator Grant, for the creation of the company, and a solo show.
